Preventative Maintenance and Calibration

Routine Servicing and Preventative Maintenance.

Electrical equipment should be routinely checked for electrical safety and performance. This ensures safe operation of the equipment and identifies deterioration in performance before a major breakdown occurs. We are able to provide this service using test equipment specifically designed for medical equipment ensuring compliance with North American standards. (CSA, UL, or JCAHO)
Most manufacturers of bio-medical equipment specify regular intervals for the checking and replacement of specific parts such as filters and seals. We are familiar with these routine service procedures and our engineers have undergone training with major manufacturers i.e. Drucker and Berkeley.

Contract Maintenance.
Where preventative maintenance is regularly required we are able to offer various contract options dependent on the particular type of equipment. This could be one annual site visit for any preventative maintenance and one emergency call out per year should the equipment break down. Contact Optimum Medical Services Inc. and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.

Advice.
Based on our experience we can provide technical advice on the most suitable item for a specific function and ensure that it meets with the appropriate standards.

Loan Equipment.
Before equipment on loan is put in to service we are able to carry out electrical safety tests and functional tests. This allows identification of equipment problems before purchase and before the item enters service.

Calibration.
In many cases the output of bio-medical equipment varies over time and the equipment requires calibration. Variation in output often has a clinical effect. Our test equipment is calibrated to traceable national standards and we are therefore confident that calibration by us is to the manufacturers’ specification.

Training.
Advice on problems with equipment is always available by telephone or in person. We aim to ensure that staff are familiar with the operation of any equipment supplied by us. Informal training on specific pieces of equipment can be arranged by ourselves and if necessary in conjunction with the original equipment manufacturer.
