General Overview

The Eppendorf 5417C helped to define what people think of when they envision a benchtop centrifuge. The 5417C from Eppendorf is a reliable and durable non-refrigerated bench top centrifuge. The unit can centrifuge Eppendorf micro test tubes at 20,800 rcf (14,000 rpm). You can also use a special 24 position rotor in the Eppendorf 5417C to reach 25,000 rcf. You can also purchase a special swing bucket rotor and that has 8 positions and is able to reach 11,700 rcf (10,500) rpm. There is also an additional rotor for the Eppendorf 5417c which allows the centrifuging of 6 eight tube PCR strips.
